Welcome.
I offer in-person or online sessions for people experiencing psychological difficulties, challenging life periods, relationship problems, feelings of sadness, fear, loneliness, anxiety, difficulties with decision-making, and other concerns.
I believe that our mind is the most important thing we have, and that we should strive to be at peace with it. It influences every aspect of our lives: our body, our emotions, and our spiritual life. I believe that we shape our reality through our thoughts and words.
I also believe that relationships are the foundation of everything. How we relate to the world and to other people is essential. We are all in a constant dialogue with everything around us, and therefore any “solution” must always be sought in relation to something or someone.
Each of us already carries the answers within ourselves. Sometimes we simply cannot hear or see them—especially when we are overwhelmed by distress or feel vulnerable for any reason. In such moments, it can help when someone listens to us with full attention and helps us rediscover those answers.
Psychological counseling offers a safe and confidential space for an open conversation about what you are currently experiencing. It can help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and explore new ways of coping with challenging life situations. It supports mental well-being, personal resources, and the search for balance and fulfillment in life.
All consultations can be conducted in Czech, Slovak, or English. If your financial situation prevents you from booking a session, please contact me so we can discuss possible arrangements.
I work in Brno at the address Gorkého 44, in the premises of the Jógamatka Center.
Appointments can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. Later cancellations are charged 50% of the session fee. If a session is changed to an online meeting, the price remains the same as for an in-person session.
It allows us to meet even when an in-person session is not possible. I will send you a link to join the meeting in advance.
It is best to ensure a quiet and private environment where you will not be disturbed or overheard. You will also need a reliable internet connection and a working camera and microphone.
If you prefer the option of sending a question in the form of an online consultation, you can write to me.
This format is suitable if you need guidance or direction. It is not appropriate in a crisis situation and does not replace an in-person session. Please keep your question to 1–2 pages. I will send my response within 3 working days.
My greatest inspiration has long been postmodern approaches, especially dialogical and collaborative approaches, and to some extent also solution-focused approaches. They emphasize so-called “non-expertism,” meaning the importance of the client’s own experience and self-understanding.
You are the expert on your own life, and I fully respect that (I do not give advice, try to “fix” you, or judge you). My role is to accompany you for a while — to ask curious questions and to listen. Together, we can discover possibilities and resources for change and improvement that may not be visible at first glance. An important part of the process is also working with other voices (people who are important to you, whether they are physically present or not). In this, I am inspired by the systemic approach.
My professional career, after completing my studies, has developed through an initially unplanned field of human resources (as an HR administrator, recruiter, and generalist), field social work with families in crisis with young children, and coordination of volunteers (HoSt Home-Start Czech Republic, 2019–2022), and later into counselling work both individually and in pairs (with families, with teams of service workers, and with clients of services).
Each of these job opportunities has given me the chance to talk and work with diverse people from different fields and to become familiar with their needs.
